This Canadian Brass workshop, designed for area Brass students, is dear to our hearts and our mission to support tomorrow’s musicians today. This serves our youth in three ways:

1) Offering dedicated Intermediate and Advanced students ages 16-20 an opportunity to be coached one-on-one by our world-class guest artists, Canadian Brass,

2) Exposing students to this encouraging, top-tier masterclass through observation, in the inspiring setting of the LJ Pres sanctuary, and

3) Supporting, longer term, those students who possess the vision, extraordinary talent, and discipline to create beautiful music as they evolve into young adults. We hope to serve educators and students well through this program and invite a return to La Jolla Pres many times in the future.

Masterclass Registration: Student groups should be registered to attend by their Music Educator/Band Director/Private Studio Owner. Independent students [not currently training with a teacher] are also welcome to attend as Observers.

The beautiful stained-glass windows and amazing acoustics instill awe and inspire contemplation. As the musical home of a 45-voice chancel choir, hand bell and children’s choirs, LJ Pres orchestra, LJ Brass adult brass ensemble, contemporary praise band, and the incredible 65-season-strong community-ministry Concert Series, we firmly believe that music is essential to filling souls.
