About LJPC’s CHRISTMAS 2024 CONCERT:
An eagerly anticipated holiday favorite.
It’s hard to top Handel’s beautiful English-language oratorio Messiah when it comes to telling The Story ~ the prophecy and birth of Jesus ~ through a 60-voice choir, soloists, and professional orchestra. You’ll also enjoy beloved carols that raise spirits and messages to deepen the meaning of the season. We hope you’ll carve out this time in your busy day to share in this joy-filled experience.
*CHILDREN! Exciting to welcome our Children’s Choir in the 4PM concert. As this special music ministry rebuilds at La Jolla Pres, come give them – our next generation of church musicians – all the love and encouragement they deserve.
*BELLS! At 7pm, you’ll enjoy the beautiful sonority of LJPC’s Hand Bell Choir as they add this richly expressive element to our Christmas celebrations.
Donations accepted with gratitude.

June 2023 Season 63 Finale Concert ENCORE

It was thrilling for LJPC Chancel Choir and professional orchestra to perform Mozart’s Requiem in June 2023. This masterpiece of choral music holds a special place in the hearts of music enthusiasts around the world, and we were honored to present it to you in all its grandeur.

To ensure you can fully appreciate the profound beauty and meaning behind each movement, we prepared a comprehensive program for the concert. This program not only outlines the order of the musical pieces but also provides essential translations from Latin to English. Understanding the text is crucial to grasp the depth and emotional impact of Mozart’s Requiem, and we hope you enjoy having all the tools to fully immerse yourself in this extraordinary composition.
