Welcome to the LJPC Sunrise of Hope Mental Health Ministries! This ministry seeks to bring God’s comfort and consolation to individuals and families in need of mental health support.

Approximately 1 in 4 Americans is impacted by mental illness, an issue which thrives best when it can hide secretly in our lives and families.

Sunrise of Hope Ministries creates open and ongoing conversations around the issues of mental health, providing opportunities to keep you informed, as well as give you tools to help you or your loved ones find HOPE—a hope that ultimately comes from Jesus Christ.

Through classes, conferences, pastoral counseling and collaboration with local agencies and professionals, our goal is to educate, equip and encourage you about mental health, all for the glory of God!

Whether you yourself struggle, or you watch a loved one who does—you do not walk this journey alone!

Scripture tells us “Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9)

Ultimately this ministry seeks to offer you God’s SUNRISE of HOPE! A sunrise is God’s signal that each new day allows us to renew our hope again. We leave yesterday behind and move into the new day.

Scripture says: “But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness ‘The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, therefore I will hope in him.’” (Lamentations 3:21-24)

Let us at La Jolla Presbyterian Church walk beside you on your journey to mental health, and may God bless you!
